The Movie Buff

Will is the biggest movie buff kid! Every single morning he wakes up, eats breakfast, gets dressed, and runs to the couch so I'll start him a movie to watch or cartoons. I bring him strawberry milk and a treat in a tractor trailer and he's lovin it! He watches TV for 30 minutes to an hour before he'll get up and play. Kalyssa never did this when she was little, so I think it's so funny that he loves movies so much.

Moab

Every year a bunch of families and friends get together and go on a trip to Moab over Easter weekend. We really look forward to this trip and so does our kids! Each family is in charge of a meal for everyone, and we eat the best food when camping! I love that part. :) Most of us left Wednesday evening and arrived in Moab about midnight...

Thursday, April 21st:

Baylee hopped on this 4-wheeler first thing in the morning and rode on it all weekend around camp.

Brandon took William and Abbee for a ride. Will didn't seem to mind wearing a helmet.

Taylee, Kalyssa, and Makayla jumped in the back of the Razor and begged Nate to take them for a ride.

My sister Mary and her family came with us to Moab this year! It was awesome!!!

 Rain and wind came in so Abbee and I played cards. Then the kids watched Ice Age later that night. The rain left and everyone gathered around a fire outside.

Friday, April 22nd:

Will climbed on his 4-wheeler, so Brandon took him for a ride on it. He is so funny... he pins the gas as far as it will go! He has no fear.

Tucker and Kole took Ryder for a ride in the T-Rex (Mater). Ryder is just like his mom... always smiling and ready for the camera.

Mary & Nate, Me & Brandon got a quick pic in front of our trailer. Brandon is so sweet! He bought me that sweet blue chair he is sitting in for my Easter present, so I'd have an extra comfortable camping chair.

If William wasn't on a ride he was playing in the sand... literally, all day long!

Everyone got loaded up on their toys for the big ride we all take together on the 10-mile Wash. Brandon packed me on the back of his 4-wheeler, Mary & Nate took William in their Razor, and Kent & Lana took our 3 girls in the back seat of Mater. Poor Will was sandwiched between Taylee and Makayla and couldn't see much, so he slept the whole ride Mary said.

At the end of the Wash he got to stretch out his legs.

 We ate our packed lunches, and took some pictures before heading back through the 10-mile Wash again.

Awe... finally we all get to shower! haha. Will was the first to try out the tub in our trailer. He loved it!

 Saturday, April 23rd:

Brandon took the girls all the way to the top of this rock. I didn't dare try climbing with them.

Then we headed over to the "Little Dunes". The girls like to slide down this steep hill and was trying to get William to follow them, so he just stepped off the edge and rolled down! He got a mouth full of sand and it was in his eyes! I wasn't fast enough to catch him but I got it all on video. Haha I felt so bad for him... he wasn't happy.

Brandon jumped down to help him climb back up... Me and Mary took a pic together.

 

Mary took the razor for a drive but was too short to reach the pedals, so Nate pushed them for her from the passenger seat while she steered... so funny. Then I got to drive! I've never drove at any kind of dunes before, so Brandon had to coach me... I scared him a few times, and went over a sweet lip to catch some air a few times... way fun!

Each family hard boils eggs for their own kids to color in Moab together...

 

Will didn't care about coloring eggs this year. He'd rather play in the sand.

Time for the Easter Egg hunt! We all bring 10 plastic eggs per kid in your family and fill them with candy. The dads go up on the hill and hide the eggs, then we let the kids loose...

...they ran up the hill pretty fast!

Brandon helped Will find his 10 eggs.

 

Brandon opened all his eggs for him to see what was inside them and said, "Ooooh" for each one. :)

Sunday, April 24th: Easter!

Of course, William was the first to wake up Easter morning and Kalyssa's basket was the first one he saw. He tipped it over and started throwing her stuff out to check it all out. I ran over to stop him and showed him his own basket.

I love their wake up faces and hair...

The Easter bunny brought the girls flip flops and other little things, and Will some sand toys.

Shannon took the boys for a little ride in her Razor before bed to get them sleepy.

Monday, April 25th:
Everyone packed up Monday morning and headed home.

I took a picture of Will after he got out of the tub that night cause he had a million bruises from falling over rocks the last 5 days, but I know he loved every minute of it.
