Jackpot In Heber

We pulled our camp trailer to the Heber Jackpot for Baylee's 2-day lamb show. Almost the whole way there, I was having hard contractions about every 5 to 10 minutes. I was afraid I was starting labor! Once we got there I got out of the truck and walked around. I had one more contraction and then they were gone! Whew! I really didn't want to have these babies in a Heber hospital without my doctor and being far from home and totally unprepared. The truck ride was too bumpy I guess. Brandon's shocks are terrible on his truck, all my contractions and cramping is proof of that. :)

Will played on this dirt pile nearby while everyone unloaded the sheep and steers for the show. Most of Baylee's 4-H club members was here participating in this Jackpot.

Brandon helped Baylee get her lamb ready and clean. Junior Showmanship was first...

Baylee with her lamb, Buddy... waiting for her turn in the arena.

The judge giving Baylee tips. She got 5th place in Showmanship. This judge wanted her to show more confidence and to be relaxed with her lamb.

The next day, Baylee showed her lamb again with the same judge, but in the Junior Market Lamb Show. This is were the lamb itself is judged. Baylee's lamb got 4th place.

Kalyssa's 1st Job

Katie, Riley and Kole put their chickens in our barn and asked Kalyssa if she wanted to feed them everyday and they'll pay her $5 a month... she agreed.

The first week she was nervous around them, afraid they'd peck at her, but she is a pro now... she figured out that if she gives them water in the outside section of the coop they'll go back there to drink while she climbs in the front section and gets the feed containers without them around her. Pretty smart!

It's been about a month and there is still 8 chickens! Haha.

32 Weeks

So... it's been a month since my last "special" ultrasound. I was really excited to get a detailed one today and find out what they weigh and how everything else is developing. I didn't get any pictures though. :/ Baby "A" has flipped and is head down and Baby "B" flipped too, and is now breech. Seems like every two weeks they switch! haha. Baby "A" weighs 4lbs 2oz, and the other weighs 4lbs 7oz. Baby "A" had a kidney issue a month ago and had too much fluid that wasn't going to the bladder like it should, but they checked it today and it all worked itself out and looks great now that she's a little more mature. The ultrasound specialist said that Baby "B" has a ton of hair! They can tell cause the hair casts lots of shadows in an ultrasound. So cute! Baby "A" got the hiccups for the first time this past week, and gets them often since. Her sister hasn't had them yet that I know of.

How's Mama feeling? I'm doing okay. Medically, everything is normal, but I feel tired. I had to lower the incline on the treadmill from 5 to 3.5% so I don't cramp, but I can still keep my pace of 4mph for the whole 30 minutes... and still 6 days a week. So, I really feel blessed to be so healthy and not to be on bed rest at this point. My doctor has no concerns for me or the babies, so I shouldn't complain about being tired or anything else. :) There is so many complications that I could have that I don't. I'm really thankful and am in a count-your-blessings mindset lately. Brandon said I should rest for the remainder of my pregnancy and no more camping trips after the 4th of July, but then we went to Bear Lake last weekend. He said, "but you're doing so good"... which is a nice way of saying, "you don't need to rest". This weekend we'll be camping in Heber for Baylee's lamb show. Then Abbee has her baptism, William has his 2nd birthday, and then it's time for the Weber fair with more lamb shows. I guess life doesn't stop just cause I'm pregnant with twins. :)

Let's Talk!

Willie pushes a chair up to this phone and talks on it. He's starting to say words lately. He's been saying "Daddy" and "hello" for a while now, but lately he can say... tractor, train, choo-choo, Mom, sorry, Bay, eat, night night, go, no, hi, bye, cow... and my favorite is that he says, "thank you"!

Baby Bird

The girls were playing in the tree in our backyard and found this baby bird on one of the branches. It fell out of its nest above the tree house.

The nest was too far out on the branch to put the bird back into, so the girls put grass in a bucket as a temporary nest, hoping that the mother bird would find it overnight.

They left it up in the treehouse and took pictures with it. Kalyssa climbed up there the next morning to check on it and it had died. She was pretty upset. :(

Bear Lake

The Gibson's invite us to their cabin in Beak Lake every year, but we brought our camping trailer and stayed at an RV park nearby. We left early Saturday morning, and the kids were anxious to play in the water once we got there. The lake is so high this year and there was almost no sandy beaches, mostly rocks... we kept our flip flops on.

The water was cold. William was the only one that went in passed his waist. He was shivering, but loved it!

Abbee was funny... she sat Will on this rock then sat on the other side and just enjoyed the view.
Ron called us later to meet them at their cabin cause they had the boat in the water. Baylee and Abbee went tubing with them, and we stayed for a BBQ dinner and s'mores at the fire pit. I wish I would've took pictures! Gosh! :/

Sunday was Pioneer Day. This is our campsite in Bear Lake. We actually had full hook-ups this time. I haven't camped with that luxury yet! lol. We've always used a generator and had a limited water supply. I took a long shower just because I could!

All of us in the trailer (Kalyssa wasn't with us this weekend). Will has candy in his mouth and props his arm on my baby belly.

Brandon packed up camp while I took Will for a walk, and the girls rode their bikes. We went 2 miles through town before he found us. It almost turned into a rescue mission for me. haha. The sun was getting too hot at that point.

On our way home, we stopped at Tony Grove Lake for a picnic.

Will slipped on the snow and got his hands dirty. He's crying and running to me to clean them off.

We hiked around the beautiful Lake.

It's funny how William would dodge the trees along the trail and lean far to the side.

We stopped in Logan at the little zoo there. It just has an honesty box that you put money into and then go see the animals.

There was an albino porcupine... pretty cool.

We went home after this, and was in bed by 9pm. Brandon and I were beat! Too tired to go to a firework show that night. :)

Abbee's Glitter Toes

Abbee's 1st glitter toes... Baylee went to play at her friends house, and Kalyssa was with Brandon at work, William was taking a nap... so I asked Abbee if she wanted me to do her toes as a be-lated birthday treat.

It was nice to hang out with just her... to talk... eat candy... and do something girly together. :)

MotorVu

For each of the girls birthdays this year we've taken two of their friends and gone to the movies. It's the perfect time of year for Abbee's birthday so she had the option to go to the Drive-In as a family, and that's what she wanted to do instead.

I made her a cute baby wipe case to play house with for one last present on her actual birthday today.

Just eating snacks and waiting for the sun to go down...

Movie time!
We saw The Zoo Keeper and Mr. Popper's Penguins. By the time the 2nd movie started all the kids were asleep, so me and Brandon took a nap until it was over too. haha. We didn't want to leave and be rude to everyone there.

Abbee's 8th Birthday Party

Abbee turns 8 tomorrow! We had some family over for cake and ice cream.

Her touch screen MP3 was her favorite present, I think.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

30 Weeks

Baby "A" on top picture... it's her spine and she is face down, so her profile isn't showing. Baby "B" is the bottom picture... it's a picture of her face. You can kind of make out her eye sockets and mouth.

I saw Dr. Wood today, but I didn't see a Perinatologist to get a big ultrasound at the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic like I usually do. They wanted to see me again in a month, and I see my OB every two weeks right now. I won't know if the kidney issue with Baby "A" has been resolved until I see the Perinatologist again. So the ultrasound I got today from my OB, we heard the heartbeats and they sound perfect. Baby "A" is still breech, but Baby "B" is head down now. If Baby "A" will turn head down then I won't need a c-section. I don't know what they weigh right now.

How's Mama? My belly measured as if I was 36 weeks pregnant with one baby. I'm having contractions lately where my stomach gets tight all over. I never had early contractions with my other two pregnancies, but my Dr said she isn't worried unless I have 6 contractions within an hour. I'm only having one or two a day... if that. I can't get comfortable to sleep at night. I don't fall asleep until about 1am these days. I'm tired a lot and stay indoors as much as possible to be out of the heat. I'm totally shocked that my feet aren't swollen yet! Yeahy! The twins take up so much room that it's hard to breathe lately. And I get dizzy and have to sit down for most of the morning some days. lol... the miserable list is getting longer, but I don't have much longer until it's delivery time!

The Nursery

I bought 2 shades of pink spray paint today and made a few little changes in the twins nursery... :)

I found this paisley lamp last week and had to buy it. The stand is white... I think it would be more cute if it was pink!

I spray painted the lamp stand dark pink, and the "P" above Paisley's crib a candy pink.

I painted the "E" above Emmy's crib dark pink. The hanging pom-poms I made out of tissue paper a few weeks ago... I think they're so fun for a nursery.
