Makayla Is 7

We went to Mary's house for cake and ice cream. Makayla turned 7 years old this week. Mary made her a really cute candy land cake.

I was giving Emmy pieces of starburst candy. She was really impatient between bites. It must be her new favorite candy. :)

Paisley is already in her pj's and playing with Baylee.

After A Nap

I love when the twins wake up from a nap! They get so excited when I open the door and kiss them to death cause their hair is a mess and they are so irresistible! Paisley is fake crying so I'll pick her up first. LOL.

4 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our anniversary for a weekend in August cause we knew Brandon would be real busy chopping corn and I didn't expect him home until midnight or later tonight. So I had a plan... I got ready for a date anyway. I curled my hair and busted out my fall boots to surprise him with Chinese food and I'd ride with him in a corn truck, in the tractor on the pit... or wherever he was for the evening. Just after I dropped all the kids off at Mary's house Brandon called me and said to meet him at home. When I got here, he was showered and said the chopper just broke down 10 minutes ago and he can take me out! THAT is more of the kind of anniversary I was hoping to have...

Us before heading to Maddox for dinner.
Brandon and I were talking about how our marriage is the best today than its ever been. If marriage gets better and better all the time, then our future is brighter than anything I can imagine. After 4 short years... our marriage is already everything I've ever wanted. I love you Honey... you're wonderful.

I Panicked!

I hate that panic feeling when something I MUST have on a daily basis is gone. I get that feeling over 3 things that are superficial... the treadmill, cereal, and Coke Zero... can't live without 'em!

Well, its mid-morning, the twins are taking their first nap and its my time to exercise. I jumped on the treadmill and the special magnet key was GONE! I remembered Will played with it last on Saturday night. It could be anywhere! 2 minutes into tearing into his bedroom, he yells to me, "Mama, in there! In there!"

He points to this black hole on the side of the treadmill... and in this hole is another hole that goes all the way down the metal frame to the floor. If the bottom is solid, I'll never get it out!

I tipped the treadmill on its side and luckily there is a hole at the bottom.

I get a flash light and there it is!!! He was right! I never would've found it on my own. But the red magnet is stuck to the side metal wall.

Will helped me fish it out with a long wood stick. :)

"There is is!" Yeahy! Time to celebrate!
I felt like sitting him down and explaining - Will, if you want mommy to be a sane woman, don't lose her treadmill key. Haha. But he saved the day, so he got hugs and kisses instead.

5K Benefit Run

Me and the twins ran the 5K this morning to raise money for Emily. She needs a liver transplant. Its awesome to know your registration money is helping someone!

My stroller for the twins isn't made for running, so I started the race walking... but after a couple minutes I couldn't help it... I ran the rest of the way. The small wheels made it twice as hard to push, but whatever, my own personal rule has always been "No walking during a race!" I could push them with one hand and run on the side. I had to keep switching sides... I think my chest and arms are going to be sore. :)

We finished at 31:33. It was cool having my twins with me... their first race ever.

They were both so cute talking to people as we passed them, Paisley bouncing her legs the whole time... I think she got a work out too. Lol. Emmy kept looking up at me and smiling with the wind blowing her hair and eating Fruit Loops. They liked racing with Mama.

Lego Night

Emmy likes to make a mess by dumping the Legos out and then she throws them back in the box. At least she enjoys the cleaning too.

Paisley hated crawling across the little Lego pieces. She wouldn't put her knees on the floor.
She is smart... she found a tiny wrench Lego tool and I guess it reminded her of a Q-tip cause she put it up to her ear on both sides. Then she noticed me using my teeth to pull apart some pieces and started popping them into her mouth and spitting them out. She turned it into a game.

Will collected all the blue pieces and lined them up.

Haha... Emmy crawled the same way as Paisley.
She knew the pieces fit together and she kept trying to do it... with no luck. But I was proud she noticed they could stick together.

Its kinda funny how you spend your Friday night when you're a parent of small children... but its the best.

My Monkey

I heard the twins playing in Willie's bedroom. I went to check on them and found Paisley sitting on top of the train table!

I'm not sure how she got up there, but I'm guessing she used the train as a step. I can't believe she didn't fall in the process! I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on that kid! I could tell she was proud of herself. :)

Kalyssa Meets Avrie

I brought Mary and her family dinner tonight and I promised Kalyssa she could meet her new cousin Avrie...

...she loved holding her. :) Avrie is 6 days old today.

Taylee playing with Paisley.

Will has been with Brandon at the barn and is too filthy to touch the baby. I don't think he even noticed her. He was busy playing a game on this phone.

Easy Crafting

Its so fun crafting with my girls!!!

We made a small Fall treat for their teachers and the ladies I visiting teach in our ward. Its a sweet & salty mixture of peanuts, M&M's, and candy corn... Yummy!

Paisley was eating all the M&M's!

We tied a bow with raffia around the lids.

I cut vinyl letters we stuck to the jars that said "happy fall".

Abbee is done with her treat for her teacher.

Baylee puts her vinyl letters on to finish.

Cookies and "Thank You's"

We made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for everyone who boosted Baylee and Abbee during the fair.

And they wrote thank you cards. We'll deliver them all tomorrow after school. The girls both had a great attitude about thanking everyone, which I think is awesome. Its so important to say thank you! :)

We blew this picture up and put it in a frame for Dave at Les Schwab Tires. Baylee wrote around the mat, "Thank you Les Schwab for buying my lamb." It was cute. Dave will put it up in his office. :)

My New Niece!

Mary had her baby this morning at 6:06 am. She weighed 6lbs 14oz and is 20 inches long.

I just kicked Nate while he took this picture. And his own daughter is making faces at him too. LOL. He said, "Avrie, smile!" But he likes the name Emily more, so why he's already calling her Avery... I dunno! I hope they name her Avrie Joanne. That is Mary's and everyone else's vote.

Look! She has pointy ears like Spock on Star Trek. Haha. Its like that on both ears. I wonder if they'll change. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her double chin!!! I had to pinch it and shake the flab... I couldn't resist. I still do that to Emmy's all the time. Its my fav. Emmy laughs cause it tickles.

I got to change her first poopy diaper! What an honor, I know! LOL. Mary is laid up in bed and said, "Have at it". I don't think I changed any of my own kids first diapers.

I made her cry for a second cause I was trying to wake her up. :)

...but then she was out again.

I was being a baby hog!

Mary, Nate and their new baby.

Mary and Mom

Mary lives a few minutes away from me... I'll get to pop-in and help out a ton. :)
Congrats Mary & Nate!

Soccer Picture Day

Kalyssa had her soccer pictures at 8:30 this morning. My 3 little ones I had to drag out of bed pretty early, but we got it done and its worth it since its Kalyssa's first year of soccer. We had to get pictures, but 3 of her teammates aren't here. :(

Color Patterns

A proud parent moment...

William was playing with these letters in the bathtub. When I checked on him, I was surprised to see that he was putting together this color pattern. And each letter had its own square... :)

I was so proud of him! He's really been trying to figure out the name of colors lately. When every letter was on the wall he stood back and said, "I done Mama. Its pretty!"

He's at it again today!

Then he jumped up & down, "yeaaaaaahy!"

Its funny how every new thing your child does makes you so happy! :)
