Birthday Package

We ordered Kalyssa new bedding online for her birthday, and her package was delivered today. She was really excited! It's for her new bedroom.

Framing Bedrooms

Our stake president and his son came over tonight to help us get started on the 2 basement bedrooms.

Brandon ran to Home Depot to get the wood. Craig and Sean brought their tools...

They measured and nailed while Brandon cut the them the sizes they needed...

It was all done in 2 hours! Will and the twins thought is was pretty awesome to run between all the wood.

We're so grateful for the help. Step one is complete. :)

Summer's Party

My niece, Samantha, moved back home last week. We are so happy they are back home and we get to see more of her cute family.

Summer turned 1 years old a month ago, but they were still in Texas. We're celebrating her birthday today.

Tending Summer

Sam, Tony, and Summer have been living in Texas for the last year. Now they've moved back home to Utah and Sam needs a break. I'm tending Summer while Sam and Tony go to dinner.

The twins are 5 months older than Summer.

Birthday Shopping

I took Kalyssa birthday shopping today at Gardner Village. We were hoping to find unique decor for her bedroom. We found a cute shelf. Haha.

Then we went to the mall and learned that Quilted Bear had more of a selection for the decor she wanted.

Paisley has fun playing with everything she could reach in Clair's.

Will started trying on funky glasses...

LOL... who buys this stuff?

Emmy's Cloth Diaper

OK! Let me explain... we got home from our Arizona trip 4 days ago, and I haven't made it to the store yet. I ran out of diapers tonight AND its a Sunday... I don't want to break the Sabbath and go buy some. Will had on his last diaper, and Paisley got the last size 4 diaper. Luckily its time for bed, and I can go to the store first thing in the morning. Let's just make it through the night!

I have lots of cloth diapers that I use for random stuff, so I pinned one on Emmy. LOL. She is inspecting her new odd diaper.

I don't even know if I put it on right. I've never used a cloth diaper before. I do have a plastic diaper cover that Will used last summer when we'd go to public pools sometimes its required. That came in handy tonight too. I put it over the cloth diaper. I think that's what people did back in the day... :)

She is running around the house showing off her new diaper.

They work pretty well, I have to admit. But disposable diapers I will go back to ASAP. :)

Our New Family Dog

Brandon's friend has red and blue heeler mix puppies he is giving away. Brandon wanted a girl, so his buddy hung on to this one for us until we got back from our Arizona trip. We brought her home today.

Will seems to like her.

Now we have 1 dog and 2 cats. I like having a watch dog in the yard.

Since she is part red heeler, we named her Ruby. :)

Arizona Trip - Day 6

We spent the day at Jeremy & Rhiannon's house. Willie rode Rhi's nephew's bike outside.

Baylee and Brandon helped him, and he did a really good job on a 2-wheeler being his first time.

Rhiannon made us a tasty chicken quesadilla lunch.

Then we went to Bounce-U for a couple hours...

LOL... the kids love it when Brandon gets in...

....he is a little wild.

This slide was too steep for Will to climb by himself. 

When Brandon would carry him to the top, Will would tumble all the way down and cry the first 2 times... then Brandon realized Will was being clothes-lined at the top by the red net. :0/ 

But the BIG slide was worth it.

Paisley loved walking around in there, but Emmy, not so much. She wanted out.

You can see on her face, she wasn't too sure about these bounce toys.

Will jumped in with some kids in the hurricane simulator. 

Kalyssa could reach the 4th row up with her flag.

Baylee got to the 5th row.

All 6 kids went in the hurricane simulator together...

Not such a good idea for the twins.

Paisley and Emmy were pretty freaked out by the wind blowing at 78 mph. We opened the door early to get them out.

This tower is really challenging to climb. the girls couldn't get passed the 1st level for awhile. They kept falling through the straps.

Paisley is getting sleepy. Brandon took Emmy away from all the bounce toys, she was tired and cranky.

Kalyssa and Baylee reached the top!

Rhiannon made us a wonderful ham dinner, and my Dad came over to eat with us too. We had to leave at 7:00pm for our long drive home. Ugh.

It turned out that all the kids slept the entire ride home! We stopped for gas once, but everyone stayed asleep. We made it home in record time. And Baylee made it to her 6th grade Valentine's Day dance. :)
