Happy Easter

Brandon and Willie ate breakfast outside this morning. It was beautiful weather.

We only had Will, Paisley, and Emmy with us this morning, so after breakfast we let them find their Easter baskets hidden in the living room.

The Easter bunny brought him a new helmet for his new bike we got him last week... and he got a movie.

Emmy knew there was treats inside the plastic eggs and opened them before anything else.

Paisley ate treats too.

They both got hopping bunnies to play with and a movie.

Emmy's mouth is chuck full of candy.

Will was excited about his marshmallow bunnies.

Paisley's mouth is too full also. :)

At least Emmy noticed she got crackers in her basket too... not just candy.

The Easter bunny ate all the "bunny bait" we left out for him last night. :)

Baylee and Abbee found their Easter baskets while I was at church still... and Brandon didn't take any pictures. I gave them their special eggs from my Dad & Paula when I got home which put a huge smile on their faces.

Kalyssa came home from her Dad's about 8pm and found her Easter basket. The older girls all got a pair of capri lounge pants, flip flops, hair ties, and candy.

Coloring Easter Eggs

I boiled a dozen eggs for Will and the Twins to color tonight... BUT while they were cooling down on the dish towel, I was busy switching out the laundry. Will came up to me and said, "Sorry Mama", and he led me to the kitchen. He had pulled the dish towel onto the floor along with ALL the eggs! All were cracked except for 2.

So we put the twins to bed and let Willie color the 2 eggs that survived. 

We left out "Bunny Bait" to make sure the Easter bunny will stop at our house tonight. :)

Nature Trails

We bought Willie a new bike recently. He's been riding it everyday on our driveway, but the paved trails in Syracuse will be better for him.

We stopped at Jensen Nature Park that was along the trial and fed the ducks corn chips. :)

Paisley would NOT throw her chips. She is smart. When the chips were all gone she still had two for herself.

Emmy was scared at first, but she let Brandon put her down and she pointed to the flying ducks.

Paisley was making me nervous getting so close to the edge. 

They threw rocks into the pond.

Emmy started dancing in circles for no reason. She has the personality of someone who would punch dance. Haha.

I haven't roller bladed in 20 years! I was a little wobbly... it's a good thing I had the stroller to hold on to. Haha.

The twins ate snacks and drank juice on their ride. We probably went 3 or 4 miles. 

On the drive home we stopped at Wendy's for dinner. It was so nice to get outside with them.

An Early Easter Dinner

My Dad and Step-Mom, Paula, are here visiting from Arizona. They are staying at my house tonight, and we're having everyone over for an early Easter feast.

My niece, Sam, is feeding her cute baby, Summer. I still can't get over the fact that Summer is my great niece. :)

We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids. We separated the bigger kids from the little ones. Kalyssa, Taylee, Makayla, and Will got to go first. They sat in the bathroom (for NO peeking) while the adults hid the eggs on the grass areas of the front and backyard. Each kid gets to find 10 eggs + 1 egg marked with a special star on it.

We had to make sure the little ones didn't find any eggs while it was the older kids turn.

Will didn't need much help finding his eggs.

Summer is trying to keep up with the other kids running around. She's been walking about a month.

I guess these 2 eggs are too high. :) One has a star on it...

Makayla found an egg in the tree.

It had a star on it too. Dad and Paula gave each kid a special egg with a $10 bill in it!

The older kids are done and brake open all their eggs.

It's time for the baby Easter egg hunt for Paisley, Emmy, Summer, and Zeke. Avrie was supposed to be here too, but she had a fever today and stayed home with Nate. We made it easy for them and scattered the eggs in the front yard.

Summer was getting the hang of it.

Zeke scoots, and isn't crawling yet. But he sure knows how to open the eggs and get the treats out.

Emmy found an egg with a star on it.

She got Paula to open her candy for her. 

Dad helped Paisley get the right amount of eggs.

Zeke has never been on the grass... he didn't really like it.

Dad and Paula rented a bounce house. The kids have been playing on it all day long.

Brandon gets crazy with the kids. He scares 'em and chases them around.

Will is worried about his shoe slipping off.

Kalyssa and Makayla are scared Dad and Brandon are gonna get them since they are both acting like monsters.

Dad is going down the slide. Haha. 

Mary is laughing so hard... when Kalyssa jumped between the green and yellow poles, they both hit her in the head.

Mary and I gathered the kids at the end of the slide for a picture... but it didn't work out very well.

It was collapsing with all of us in one spot...

...and we starting rolling in the center like a doggy pile.... and the poor twins ended up at the bottom somehow...

It was so funny, cause we couldn't help it.

The twins didn't like it at all... BUT they did play in the bounce house a few times and had fun earlier. :) When it was dark, Brandon played Ghost in the Graveyard wit the kids, and we had a fire in our outside pit.

It was a really fun day with Dad & Paula visiting... and having the rest of our family over at our new house.
