The first graders are making gingerbread houses today at school. Parents and younger siblings were invited.
Kalyssa piled the candy on hers so she'd have lots to eat later. I made Will's house for him.
I stayed to help clean up the classroom... there was frosting everywhere! Some kids went home early, the ones that stayed played with word or math puzzles. Will dove right into the puzzles and scattered the pieces as best as he could. I think Miss Peterson was worried he'd ruin them... he was being pretty wild at that point.
I stayed to eat lunch with Kalyssa at the cafeteria. Their Hawaiian Haystacks were pretty good. William was using a spoon trying to feed himself the jello... never seen him do that before. It was all down the front of his shirt and on the floor.
It was so fun having a special day with Kalyssa and going to lunch with her!
