Halloween

We started our Halloween night going to the Trunk-or-Treat at the church...

Baylee is making the rounds with her friends Oaklee and Brinlee. Baylee had a pink skeleton costume on earlier that she didn't want to wear tonight. :)

Kalyssa is a dead bride and Abbee is a lion.

Brandon held Paisley and helped her trick-or-treat. She is SUCH a daddy's girl! She cries whenever he leaves the house, and when he walks in, she goes over to him and fusses until he picks her up. Brandon loves it.
Tonight is the first time I've put shoes on the twins. Why bother with shoes if they can't walk? But now they can... after I put them on, the twins took really high steps for a few minutes trying to get used to it. It made me laugh. They both dealt with it and didn't try taking them off. They wear a size 5 already! I'll have to get rid of the smaller shoes they never wore. :o/

Kalyssa and Willie are at the last trunk and got handfuls of candy.

Will is superman! He loves his costume.

Will gets another handful of candy. I'm afraid his pumpkin handle is gonna brake.

Emmy keeps digging in her Halloween bucket.

We went to Grandpa Kevin's to trick-or-treat next. His dog was really excited to see us and got way too close to the twins... they cried and didn't like being on the floor with her.

Grandma Mary Ann's house is next. She loaded the kids up with more candy. Paisley is eating M&M's.

Emmy was shoveling them into her mouth so fast, then she tried to take Paisley's.

Aunt Julie and Emmy visited with each other. :)

Then we headed to Aunt Lana's house. She got out her big candy bars!

Lana laughed at Emmy cause she went for the Reese's candy dish. She said, "That's your kid!" cause I love Reese's.

Our friends, the Parslows, have a Halloween party every year... we ate chili, and the kids decorated paper bags with stickers for the pinata.

LOL... Morgan is shocked watching other kids hit the pinata. Will and Morgan are buddies from being in the nursery together at church.

Kalyssa and her friends watch and wait for their turn...

The kids are picking up what's left of the candy on the ground.

The twins, Paige and Nacole, are holding the twins!

Kaden is holding the ghost pinata and chasing Will with it around the backyard.

Kalyssa and Kailee are eating nachos and chili AGAIN before we head home for bed. :) It is a school night I reminded them... Kailee said, "but I like to party at night." Haha.

Oh man... this doesn't look like much candy in a picture, but it really is too much! The kids are more than happy. Looks like candy for breakfast tomorrow!

Emmy found my Coke stash in the fruit room and is walking around with a can... Paisley tried to steal it from her. I swear they always want what the other has.

That's my girl!!!

Paisley is so cute. Brandon gave her a sippy cup, she walks off with it, finds a quiet spot, lays down, and enjoys her milk. We found her in the living room by herself... she does that a lot.

Random thought - In my single days, Halloween used to be my least favorite holiday. But our family has grown so fast and we have so many fun things we do in October with the kids now... I love this time of year and really look forward to it...

Happy Halloween! It was fantastic! :)

Time To Read

The kids read every night before bed. Baylee is reading to Willie while I get the twins in bed, and he loves it.

Kalyssa wanted me to take a picture of her too. We saw later that Abbee is in the background making fun of her. LOL.

Pumpkin FHE

Brandon called the McFarlands to see if they had some pumpkins we could get. They were super nice and said to come pick whatever we wanted out of their patch. They had patches of orange pumpkins and a patch of white pumpkins. I like the white ones for a nice change from the norm. :)

Baylee found the big one she wanted pretty quickly.

Brandon picked out the extra pumpkins for the little ones.

He helped Abbee and Will find theirs.

Will sat on the ones he liked... and he liked a lot of them.

Abbee and I found cute little pumpkins to take also.

It was funny... Will's feet kept getting caught in the vines as he ran around. He fell like 4 times... but it didn't stop him.

Our largest pumpkin collection yet.

Brandon unloaded them and the girls sprayed the dirt off.

The twins loved the little pumpkins and piled them into dishes they took out of the cupboard.

Baylee started painting her pumpkin.

I cut Halloween stuff out on my Cricut for the kids to paint over and pull off when it was dry. Abbee did the cat and stars on her pumpkin.

Kalyssa did a "K", a spider and fall leaves.

We had to make a wall of chairs to keep the twins out of the painting area. :)

Will wanted a spider on his. He loved painting his pumpkin last year and this year was no different. He cried when I made him stop. He was the last one still painting and it was time for the tub then bed. We have more pumpkins he can paint tomorrow morning.

Abbee pulled her stickers off to see how hers looks. The cat is so cute!

When all the kids were in bed, I painted Emmy's and Paisley's pumpkins.

Our little pumpkin patch. We found a few different colors of pumpkins that were too cool to paint... white, green, orange, and red.

This is a good picture of Baylee's blue and black pumpkin...

...and Kalyssa's finished pumpkin thats painted brown.
