We started a family tradition a year ago. At General Conference the kids take notes while they listen to the speakers and I give them conference coins to spend, or points in exchange for YUMMY treats afterwards. The older girls take wonderful notes! They always have a page or two full - they are awesome!
This time I thought a chocolate bar would be fantastic! I had white chocolate and milk chocolate melting pots ready for dipping. We munched and dipped vanilla wafers, pretzels, graham crackers, cake doughnut holes, cheese puffs, rice crispy treats, marshmallow bunnies, mint oreos, strawberries, bananas, gummy bears, cinnamon bears, and red vines. Tooth picks helped to dip the fruit with. Everyone picked a Gatorade to drink.
The more notes they had the more points they earned. If someone had 7 points, they could pick which 7 items to eat as much as they wanted of those items.
Kalyssa gave a cheeto thumbs up!
Emmy loves pretzels!!!
I also made caramel apples that cost 1 point. They ate them the next day for an after school snack. :)
Our kids look forward to our family conference stands. They've been really fun. I love talking about what we learned and what talks they liked best and why.
