A Tunnel

Will and the twins have been climbing on the couch and looking over the banister... I'm nervous they will fall over the edge and break some bones on the stairs below. 

I moved the couch away from the banister a couple feet and put a blanket over top. Will and the twins were excited and ran around the couch in a circle under the tunnel.

I played the stair monster and grabbed their feet through the rails when they ran by. My living room is a little smaller, but its nice not worrying about someone falling.

Bennett Helps Baylee

Baylee hasn't showed a steer before. Bennett is in her 4-H club and he's won grand champion in showmanship lots of times. He came over after school today to help Baylee learn what to do.

He showed her how to line Abinadi up in the show ring with the other steers, how to line up his hoofs, his back, chest and tail for the judge, and to do it all within seconds.

Baylee is a little intimidated to handle Abinadi by herself cause he's a big animal, but she'll get used to him and do great.

Playing in the Limo

When the twins and Willie woke up, they drove around the house in the limo together.

Kalyssa's drive-in movie at school starts at 1:00pm, so we had to bring her car to class. That ended the fun for the little ones.

A Limousine

Kalyssa is having a drive-in movie at school tomorrow. The kids can bring a "car" to watch the movie in. Before the show, they walk in a parade so everyone can show off their cars. I built Kalyssa this long limo out of two boxes for her to share it with a friend (not every kid brings a car).

When I was done with it Will watched TV in it.

It was about 10pm, he eventually fell asleep in it.

I'm Registered for Half Marathon!

I did it... I'm in! About 10 years ago, I started running and have loved it ever since. I've ran lots and lots of races and have always wanted to run a half marathon... and then run a full marathon "someday". But that's what I always say, "Someday I'll do that". The last 5 years I've gotten out of the running crowd and have been doing my own thing on the treadmill (not to mention I've also been busy having 3 more kids in that time too). Well, I found a gal in my new ward that runs half marathons and is running the Ogden Half this weekend. I started running with her and her friends this week around the neighborhood. She mentioned they will be running the half marathon in Logan this August too, and I should run it with them. 

Done!

Having a group of girls to train with and run it with me is just the little nudge I needed. So I registered for it this morning and I'm so excited! It will be so awesome to cross the finish line and finally have accomplished a big goal that I've had for a long time. :)

Get Air Field Trip

Kalyssa's 3rd grade field trip is to Get Air Trampoline Park. Her and I have never been here.

The was about 5 foam pits to jump into.

Kalyssa liked this Air Jam Basketball.

Kalyssa and her friend use the side trampolines as a slide.

We jumped from trampoline to trampoline like leap frog. Its easy to work up a sweat here.

The 3rd grade had the whole place to themselves for 2 hours. Time to go! Then we went across the street to a park and ate lunch before heading back to the school. This was a really fun field trip.

Washing Abinadi

Baylee's steer was pretty gross being with the other steers at the barn. Having him here at our house will be much easier to keep him clean.

Brandon and Bay gave him a bath... and used half my bottle of dish soap.

Mama's Helper

I took all the drawers out of Baylee's dresser today cause I'm spray painting it a cute turquoise color. 

Will wanted to help me paint, so I asked him if he wanted to unscrew all the handles for me instead. He is more than happy to help whenever he gets the chance to use a screwdriver. He got started right away. :)

I didn't have to help him at all. I sprayed the primer on the dresser while Will worked on the drawers for me. 

My hard working little cowboy is taking a drink break. :)

He was so cute to put the screws in their own pile, and the handles in another pile. 

"I done!" 

I was so proud to have finished he job. It took him awhile to unscrew 24 screws... but he loved it.

Haha... Will is dancing to celebrate. He's awesome.

Happy Mother's Day

LOL... I found this picture on my camera. Brandon took it before he brought me breakfast in bed for Mother's Day. It's my favorite breakfast on the the planet... he knows I'm crazy over my Almond Oat Blenders cereal. And the fruit was a nice touch. Will walked into my bedroom first and the twins followed, he said "Saprise! Happy Mudder's Day!" I sat up in bed and tried to wake up. Brandon gave me my awesome breakfast... Will handed me my present (New running shoes... my old ones have a few holes in them). The kids jumped on the bed with me and I shared my grapes with them and I ate cereal... it was a wonderful way to start my day! Thank you Honey!

My extended family is here for dinner. I making some red hot sauce for the carne asada. To change it up a bit... Brandon and I are making a Mexican dinner for everyone. I have to throw a t-shirt on when I smash the  peppers and tomatillos. I always splash myself with juice! The red sauce was too hot for Mary and Nate... it was funny.

I planned a little game to see what family knows their Mom/Wife the best. Tony knows Sam best... they won movie candy and 5 redbox movie gift cards.

It's also my Mom's 60th birthday in 2 weeks, so Sam baked her a cake for our dessert.

Chocolate Strawberries

I was just thinking to myself last night (after hearing a song on the radio... lol... stupid radio) that I wish Brandon would give me flowers... It's been a long time since he has. 

Then this morning, Fed Ex dropped off a package at my door with my name on it...

...it had a dozen chocolate covered strawberries inside! Ohmygosh... they were sooo delicious! Brandon has redeemed himself. He must have been inspired that I needed this. :)

The Sweetest Husband Award goes to Brandon.

Dinner Outside

Brandon makes me smile. I was exercising and when I came out back he had BBQ'd some steaks and hot dogs for dinner and sat down with the kids to eat outside. Brandon loves this, and I'm sure the kids do too!

Messiest Eater Ever!

Emmy is the messiest eater on the planet. LOL. I have to clean up her messes just like this almost every time she eats! No joke! And she has to feed herself. She is a really good eater but is so messy. She's lucky she is so cute. :)

Abinadi is Home

Baylee is showing a steer this year in the fair. She has shown sheep in the past but wanted to try a steer. Yesterday was the steer weigh-in and registration at the fair grounds, then Brandon brought the steer to our house after so Bay can work with him this summer. Bay's 4-H club is naming all their animals after names from the scriptures. Baylee decided to call her steer Abinadi from the Book of Mormon.

Will likes to pet him and feed him hay.

Kalyssa Scores a Goal

Will is playing with my camera again and taking pictures... We're at Kalyssa's soccer game.

Kalyssa scored her very first goal last week, and she has scored 2 goals today! She is on a roll, and really starting to do well at playing soccer. This was her first year. She wants to play again next year cause she really loves soccer. This season is over now. She will start again in the fall.

Great job Kalyssa!

A Mother's Day Lunch

I had a date with Kalyssa for a cute Mother's Day lunch with her Achievement Day gals and their mothers at the church.

It was cute... the girls dressed up and did a Mother's Day rap for us.

Then each girl held a letter and read a note. Kalyssa's note to me was so sweet.

And she shared her favorite memory she has with me. She said she loves the memory of her and I singing to her kid CD in the car when she was 3. We laugh about it now, cause Kalyssa was so expressive when she sang the songs.

We ate Subway sandwiches and had desserts with fruit for lunch. They did a how-well-do-you-know-your-mom quiz. Kalyssa got a few questions right but we didn't win. She gave me a cute candy dish with Baby Ruths inside (my favorite candy bar). The stuff they had planned for the moms was real sweet. We had a good time together.
