William Outside

I've been cleaning my windows this week before the flies get too bad. They're horrible this time of year between all the corn fields and dairy farms around us.
Yay! My front door shines again!
William was playing in the front yard with me while I worked.

Complete Mischief

I was making dinner tonight, and turned around to see this...

William had opened this drawer and found a glove the size of his arm to wear... pretty cool...

Awe... our sweet little boy...

Wait, he has an idea... lol... classic!

He found another drawer and threw everything out... one by one...

Then stirred the sandwich bags...

"Where's Will?"

"There he is!"

After dinner, I unloaded the dishwasher to fill it up again. Before I could get them in, Will derailed the bottom rack and pulled out the utensil bin...

And struts around with it.

Next, he goes to this cupboard... finds a sponge and lifts his leg high to scratch his toes with it (or file his toe nails, but Dad wouldn't approve).

This feather duster is his favorite toy he plays with everyday since he's discovered where to find it...

The fun ended when I heard this! These serving bowls were given to us when we got married and I've used them a ton! William shed a couple drops of blood on one of his toes from this accident, but only cried when I swooped him away to the bathroom to get him washed up.

He's 13 months old...
all this must be what little boys are made of. :)

What's Cookin?

The girls are so funny... always playing house and coming up with new ideas. Only this time it includes my pots and pans and lots of imaginary ingredients.

Baylee is following her recipe book on how to make chocolate chip cookies using paper butter.

Abbee and Kalyssa stir water in their pots. I don't know what their making, but it requires an Easter Egg to crack.

All Four

All our sweet kids are gathered for FHE. Baylee has a big toostie roll in her cheek, and Will has brought a favorite toy.... a toothbrush. We have all 4 of them only 3 days a week, gotta get pictures when I can. :)
They insisted we have FHE about music tonight so we could play the fun music game Aunt Lana taught them in Primary.

Sand Box

William is 13 months old today!
It's so nice outside... we played in our sand box.

He makes throwing sand look fun.

10K

Mama and Willie
I ran the Brigham City Peach Days 10K. Brandon was so sweet and took the morning off work to watch William, and they met me at the finish line.
It's funny, cause I did the worst ever on my placing, but the best on my time.
My Peach Days 10K history:

2005, 2nd place at 51:22,  received 2nd place metal
2006, 7th place at 56:31
2008,  ?   place at 57:00
2010, 9th place at 50:19,  my best time ever!

My 30th birthday is in 2 weeks. I didn't win a metal today, but the fact that I beat my 25 year old body at 30, is truly what it's all about for me... to beat my PR.
The Lord has helped me improve little by little at every race this year. I couldn't have done it without Him pushing me along. :)

Bailing Hay

Friday evening, Will & I was missing Brandon, so we brought him Chinese Food and bailed 80 acres of hay with him.

William doesn't even know how lucky he is!

Will on the Job

William is helping his Dad unload straw bails from the trailer. Brandon said Will would start talking whenever he saw the cows in the corrals next to them.

Fort Fun

I made the girls a fort to play in Sunday afternoon... complete with a bed on the left, and access to their bedroom bathroom on the right. I have to say, this one beats any I've made as a kid. :)
The girls slept in it that night cause there was no school Monday being Labor Day.

William was funny. He could hear the girls voices, but didn't know how to get inside.
However, he DID find this window!

That We Might Have Joy

"...situations and surrounding have no lasting impact on our ability to feel joy. Instead, true joy comes from obeying and believing in Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, who made life here-and hereafter-'that we might have joy' (2 Nephi 2:25)."
I read this in the Ensign, September 2010 issue this morning. I easily get caught up in my own situations and surroundings, and feel like they sometimes get me down. I'm so grateful to have the Ensign and find articles like this that give me a proper perspective.

2 Years into Forever

We were married on September 26th, but corn chopping season starts Mid-Sept, so we have to celebrate our anniversary early every year. Brandon has farmed long hours this summer... I was ready for some quality time away! Woot! Woot! We took a few pictures along the way...

Day One:

The first day we went up Providence Canyon in Logan, to hike to a few waterfalls...

...and to do a little 4-wheeling! This picture is for Kole!

We ate at one of our favorite places to eat... Angie's Restuarant... Mmm, all day breakfast!

Day Two:
The second day we went to Tony Grove Lake up Logan Canyon.

We went to this same lake on our Honeymoon in 2008, so going back was cool to walk around and reflect on all that's happened in the last 2 years. It's a sentimental place for us.

My super hot Cowboy walking on the path that goes all the way around the Lake.

We went 4-wheeling up Left Fork and stopped to carve "B+J  '10" in a tree along the trail... so romantic. :)

Brandon on the 4-wheeler. The trail leads to Bear Lake where there's a little store to get sandwiches called Glady's, but it seemed to be more of a hot spot to get lottery tickets and a beer for all the locals.

Day Three:
We're checking out of The Anniversary Inn where we stayed for 2 nights in Logan. We woke up early this morning to get a run in before breakfast.

We had the Mansion Suite and breakfast in bed.
We didn't take any pictures, but we went through Avon and explored several 4-wheeling trails through there and had a picnic before heading home. Going home was bitter sweet... I didn't want my time with Brandon to end, but I won't miss peeing in the bushes.

Popsicle

Aunt Lana gave Willie his 1st popsicle! Brandon walked in and Will was excited to show his Dad how much he was enjoying it by sticking out his tongue.

Josette's Baptism

This was an amazing day! The Spirit was so strong at Josette's baptism. She's a dear friend of mine I met while working at the OC. She asked me to talk on the Holy Ghost, and I'm so grateful to have had the privilege. There's nothing more awesome than to have someone you love be baptized.
I'm so proud of Josette.

Temple Square

We took the kids down to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to take a tour of the Conference Center, have dinner, and walk around. The weather was perfect and we could go on the roof of the Conference Center and check it out. I've never been up there before... it was so neat. We didn't take very many pictures, and we didn't have Kalyssa this weekend.

William is very impressed with the Conference Center, can't you tell? But the facts about this building and all the beatuiful art hanging everywhere is truely special and something everyone should go see.

The kids favorite part about Temple Square is seeing the huge statue of Christ in the Visitor Center.

We ate dinner at The Lion House. It's a restaurant inside of Brigham Young's house in Salt Lake City... it was built in 1856. We sat in the quilting room, and the food is so yummy there.

Brandon snapped this shot of Abbee... poor girl can't eat in peace.

1st day of school

Kalyssa waiting for the bus on the first day of school. She's in 1st grade, and I can't believe it. We didn't have Baylee and Abbee this morning to get all 3 together. :(

Drive-In

We went to the Drive-In with the kids to see Nanny McFee Returns.

Our 4 kids all snug in the back of the truck.

Antelope Island

Brandon, William, and I went on the 14 mile bike ride on Antelope Island. About mile 9, Brandon's pedal worked it's way off... was terrible. I had to leave him, pedal me and Will to the truck to go back and pick up Brandon and his bike. Before that... we had fun enjoying the work out.

Sunset at Antelope Island

Me and Brando just getting started on our beautiful ride. You can barely see Will in the trailer behind us if you look hard enough.
