Lots of times after Will is done taking a bath, he'll stand up and pee in the tub before I take him out. Gross I know! I always stop him and ask him to sit on the potty but he always says no. So this morning I finished bathing him and he stood up and started peeing. As usual I stopped him and said, "Will pee in the potty?"... he nodded his head and said, "Yup!" and let me sit him on the toilet. He sat there and was pushing pretty hard, so I wondered if he was going #2, but then he started peeing again! I was SO SO happy!!! I praised him to death and he was so pleased with himself, smiling really big. We called Brandon and put him on speaker phone so Will could tell him the good news! "Daddy, I potty!"
Tonight me and the girls & Will went searching for toads in our backyard (that's another story :)), so they all washed their feet in the tub before going to bed. Well, William sat in the tub water with his clothes on. I got him undressed and went in his bedroom to grab a diaper and pajamas. When I walked back into the bathroom he was climbing up on the toilet saying, "Potty? Potty?" He sat down and started peeing! No way did that just happen! I was freaking out and so proud of him. I called the older girls in the bathroom right away to celebrate with us! All of us were so surprised he did that all on his own and without me asking him. He hasn't been interested in the potty at all, and now, out of the blue, he's a pro. Of course, we called Brandon again to tell him the great news.
We're all so proud of Willie!
