Baylee missed the 4-H Achievement Night to go to Grandma MaryAnn's to do gingerbread houses instead. So Brandon took her up to the 4-H office this evening to pick up her portfolio, and got a big surprise!
She won 1st place!
This is her second year participating in the 4-H Portfolio Competition. In it she records her lamb project for that year, knowledge learned & skills gained... her experiences, activities, entries, awards, recognitions, leadership skills, and community service all related to 4-H. Then there is a section for non 4-H experiences. At the back of her portfolio she has to write her 4-H story for that year with her lamb and paste pictures in it. The judge was really impressed with it this time and we're so so proud of her. 1st place is a big accomplishment considering how many kids enter every year. It takes a lot of work throughout the year to record and keep track of everything she does, but it has paid off. :)
