Martina McBride & George Strait Concert

We drove down to Salt Lake with the Nielsens cause they all bought tickets, but their seats weren't near us. We ate dinner at Crown Burger before the concert. That seems to be the tradition.

So... Brandon won 2 tickets to the George Strait concert. And here we are!!! We got pretty good seats. :)

Martina McBride opened the show. I've always liked her and she was awesome to see. She looked and sounded amazing! ;)

The crowed was so loud when she was done... she seemed impressed... we all loved her!

Brandon and I are pretty anxious during the break... waiting for George Strait to come out!

Here he is... Everyone was on their feet and very loud!

He sang our baby girl's song... Check Yes Or No. I got this shot of him saying her name... "Emmy Lou". 

He sang a lot of older songs... which was great. When we saw him in concert 2 years ago, he sang all different songs than he did tonight. That was pretty cool.

George sang 30 or more songs tonight...

He's saying goodbye, but we know better...

A ton of people left, but we stayed and cheered super loud. The name of the tour was The Cowboy Rides Away since he is retiring. The show can't be over until he sings that song, right???

...He came back to sing a few more.

I loved the energy in there when George came back. Everyone stayed on their feet the last few songs and was cheering like crazy.

100 Years Old

It is the 100th day of school today. The 3rd graders are dressing like they are 100 years old.

We did Kalyssa's hair and she wore a bath robe to school. :)

My Little Mommy

It is SO sweet... Emmy has taken an interest in her babies the past few days. To the point were she almost doesn't play with anything else. She lays out a blanket {or a burp rag... haha} and wraps her baby in it.

She usually holds her babies upside down.

This doll is her favorite for some reason. She feeds her baby bottles and gives it binkies. She'll wrap her baby, stand up, and rock from side to side. Its so adorable how early kids learn to be a Mommy.

Baylee and Abbee were doing the twins hair for a pretend beauty pageant. It started out by using gel for their curls, then this was the finished product...

HE WON!!!!!

Brandon busted through the door today with a HUGE smile...

"Guess what?! I just won George Strait concert tickets!"

NO WAY! Are you kidding me?! He put one ticket in the drawing at the Cal Ranch store and they called him today and said congratulations! We'll be on the 27th row in the lower bowl - we'll take it! Thank you very much!!! Hehe

George Strait is one of Brandon's heroes. We named our little Emmy Lou from one of his songs {for crying out loud!}. Its his last tour before he retires, and we are super lucky not to miss it. 

Way to go Honey! You are MY hero. :)

Twins and 2 Kittens

When I let the kittens in to eat in the mornings the twins get so excited. Paisley couldn't resist picking one up.

I've been showing the twins to just pet the kittens to let them eat. :)

They are both good listeners.

Paisley is making sure she gets all the scattered cat food back in the pile for them. What a great little mommy!

Will woke up and found us feeding them. The kittens are a little nervous around Will sometimes. He likes to chase them around the room to catch them. They hiss and swat at him... he doesn't care at all. I am working with him to pick up the cats by the back of the neck, not by their tails! He does that when he grabs them out of their hiding places. Its so sad, but he's learning.

Will's Mullet

Willie has really long hair lately. Time to shave it off! I started with the top and gave him a mullet Brandon would be jealous of. Lol.

Two hours after I cut his hair, he started crying cause he wanted his hair back. Omgosh!

Our Igloo

Will and I needed to get outside. We started to build an igloo...

Our little kittens never leave the back porch.

 Willie sure loves the cats!

The snow was so much like powder, it wouldn't pack very well at all. The icy snow that Brandon shoveled a few days before didn't get us very far on our igloo. It was the only snow that would half-way stay together when we packed it.

There was a poor dead bird under the big tree in our backyard.

Will had fun breaking the icicles off the bottom of the trampoline.

Cake & Ice Cream

 It was Lana's birthday Friday. We had cake & ice cream tonight at her house.

The girls performed a play for her. Baylee was the Narrator, Kalyssa was Lana, and Abbee was Kent.

Then they sang happy birthday to her. 

It was a Hawaiian themed play. Our family made her a paper lei... we all wrote messages on each flower about what we love about Lana. 

Brandon is taking pictures of the twins playing on the stairs.

They both can crawl safely up and down on their own. Which is fantastic timing! Our new house has stairs in it too.

Mythanne has been in Utah visiting for a couple of weeks! Its been awesome having her around.

Missy and Ryder fly back to Minnesota tomorrow morning. :( ...it's so sad. We all took a picture with them.

The Bookshelf Nap

We went to Mitzi's house to visit today. When the twins get tired I just have to put them on the floor in her sewing room and hope they fall asleep. We found Paisley asleep with her head on the bookshelf as a pillow. And they got into Grandma's box of Christmas wrapping too. It was funny.

Surprise For Kalyssa

Kalyssa is putting the finishing touches on with lip gloss. She has a date planned with her Dad today but she has no idea what they're doing. 

I did her nails Gelish last night cause I know where she is going. Her Dad bought her concert tickets to Justin Bieber. 

He's is on his way to pick her up. She called me later freaking out! She could barely talk telling me she was going to a Justin Bieber concert and staying at a hotel in Salt Lake afterwards. Haha. It was so cute hearing her like that.

Box Tunnels

I remember moving as a kid, and we made tunnels with all the empty boxes. It was a good time! Haha. Now we're moving soon and have a bunch of boxes laying around.

I put together a ton of them in the back room for Will and the twins to crawl around in. They absolutely loved it! 

When Kalyssa got home from school... she joined them.

Sledding Again

Kalyssa and Willie sledding on a tube this time.

My brother-in-law, Nate, came by today to get the kids. He brought a few razors to pull the kids around the hay fields.

Will didn't last long on the tube before he wanted to ride in the razor. They could've sled with their cousins all day long.

Poor Paisley!!!

Paisley starts crying from the other room, I run in there and she has William's helicopter tangled in her hair.

This makes me laugh, but its so heartbreaking at the same time. Poor Paizzy girl.

Luckily, it wasn't too hard to get the propellers untangled. I didn't have to cut any hair off. 

Kalyssa said Willie put the helicopter on her head and wanted to make it take off, but it got stuck instead and she started crying. Willie was in big trouble.
