The King of Country is in Utah! ...and the Queen, Reba McEntire, but we came to see George!!!!
I had no idea that Lee Ann Womack was gonna be here too until we got to Energy Solutions Arena! I love her!
We ate at Crown Burger across the street before the concert. Now we're just waiting for it to start.
The gang... Tucker, Mythanne, Shannon, Kole, Riley & Katie
I'm not a huge fan of Reba lately, but she did some of her older songs that I like.
Lee Ann Womack came out again to sing a duet with Reba. :)
One of the actresses from the Reba show came out and she was hilarious. Reba sang some more and said goodbye... we thought she was done...
Then she came back out in this taxi cab with her red dress to sing her famous old song "Fancy" that everyone loves.
I have to give her credit, she put on a great show. :)
When George Strait came out me and Brandon were grinning from ear to ear... it was so loud in there.
We thought he'd be chill and sit down and sing, but no! He came out and got after it! He's awesome!
He sang 2 songs at each corner of the stage which was cool.
He sang about 30 songs and walked off with his band...
We were so loud after the lights went out they came back and sang 4 more.
We were on our feet for the rest of it.
He's so down to earth, he walked around the whole stage and shook hands with his fans before leaving again which took him awhile. I was impressed he'd take the time to do that.
Good ol' George Strait. :)
When we left it was pouring rain outside! We had to run a block to Crown Burger where we were parked. We all piled in our new Yukon soaking wet, close to midnight... and it wouldn't start! All the guys were out in the rain, playing with plugs and wires under the hood trying to find the problem. Tucker found a forum about it on his phone that people talked about this problem happening to them when it rains. If the keys get wet it locks up the motor so it won't fire up until it dries out on it's own again. And Brandon ran that whole block to the car holding the key out in the rain. It's the only thing we could find that might be the problem. So 45 minutes later still stuck in the parking lot in Salt Lake City... no mechanic friends we knew were answering their phones... we said a prayer for help, and 5 minutes later it fired right up. haha... oh my, we were all so relieved!!!
Don't under estimate the power of prayer. :)
Most of us are in the same ward and it was so funny when Riley pipes up, "I got dibs of the spiritual story for next fast and testimony meeting".
