I can't believe I'm already 6 months pregnant with the twins!!!
Dr. Wood measured my stomach and said I'm only 1 centimeter bigger than if I was carrying one child. And I thought I was HUGE!
These are profile pictures of both babies. Baby "A" on left... baby "B" on right.
Fraternal or identical twins? If there are 2 sacs and 2 placentas and the babies are the same sex you cannot know for sure until after birth. This is the case for me, so I'm gonna have to wait for the answer on my babies.
I got some 4D pictures at this appointment! The ultrasound specialist said they're big enough to get good 4D photos of now. The babies have pretty lean figures at this point and will start to plump up. Baby "A" on the left, is still facing downward. She weighs 1 1/2 pounds. Baby "B" is still right side up and on the right side of my stomach. She weighs just an ounce smaller than the other at 1lb 7oz. 4 weeks ago, baby "B" was the bigger baby, but they're so close and right where they should be at this point. Everything was measured again, and checked out perfectly.
The babies are in opposite positions of each other, so in the picture of baby "A", that big circle pushing into one side of her face is baby "B"s butt. It's so funny. They are totally kicking and punching each other in there. Baby "B" seems to have a more round face. She looks like William to me. I wonder if baby "A" will get more round too as they both start to plump up in the next several weeks. :) I think they're both beautiful and I love these pictures. They have such cute little button noses, and seem to have Mama's lips. I can't tell for sure whether they have dimples in their chins like I do. I don't think it's a very feminine feature to have, so maybe they can escape that one. Haha.
How's Mama? Well, I have to take 1 Benadryl every night before bed so I can sleep. It takes the edge off of my insanely itchy skin and restlessness. I sleep with a pillow between my knees now for support, which I've never done before. My feet have swelled up a couple times recently cause I was on them all day. I finally remembered to ask my doctor if I'm okay to exercise 6 days a week like I do. She said if I'm not cramping or feeling dizzy then I'm good to exercise that often up until the day I deliver. Whew! That was awesome to hear. I have had a little cramping in the past while exercising. I've since decreased the treadmill incline from 10 to 5 percent, but still maintain 4mph speed for 30 minutes. That did the trick. I know as I get bigger I'll have to decrease the incline more and possibly walk slower... so we'll see. For now, I feel fine at the level I've been exercising. I can get my heart rate to 140 bpm without cramping, so that will have to do. :)
