Family Home Evening

For Family Home Evening we read the story in the Book of Mormon about how Ammon defends the flocks of King Lamoni with stones and his sling, and a sword. We thought Willie would love this story and to play a game since he is still the birthday boy.

We tied ancient-style headbands around our heads and had two teams... the Nephites & the Lamenites. Abbee was the first to shoot at the targets with a bow and arrow (the arrow was a huge Mickey Mouse pencil... lol).

Brandon and Will were Lamenites.

I'm so clumsy... I shot the stone and the back of my hand hit my nose!

Team Nephites! Oh Yeah! 

But the Lamenites defeated us in our game.

Brandon got his potato gun out.

Brandon shot a little soft ball out of his potato gun and it hit Willie in the back. The sting dropped him and he was crying. Brandon felt SO bad and put a package of bacon on it.

Grandma Mary Ann brought over a chocolate zucchini cake today. We're having a birthday party later for Willie and the twins, so Will hasn't had a birthday cake yet. We put his candle on this one and sang to him. I put a ribbon on him that says Birthday Boy!

He opened Grandma Mitzi's present she left him. :) He'll get more gifts later.

Its a cool book with 4 slide out puzzles. 

Will runs his fingers along the whole cake to eat the frosting. 

He ate lots of cake! Well, all of us did. :)
